About
RiverBox Play started as a shared spreadsheet between a few friends who kept texting each other 'you have to try this one.' At some point the list got too long for group chats, so we turned it into a proper site. Everything here is played by a real person before a single word gets written.,We focus on indie and small-studio mobile games because those are the ones that get buried fastest. A polished puzzle from a two-person team rarely gets a fair shot against the marketing budgets of bigger releases, and that gap is exactly what we try to fill.,Choosing what to cover is simple and stubborn: someone on the team has to genuinely enjoy playing it, and it has to run well on an average phone, not just a flagship. We don't chase trending titles for the clicks. If a game is clever but frustrating, we say so.,Nobody here is paid by developers to write anything. We buy or download the games ourselves, play them on our own time, and write about the experience honestly. That's the whole model.
