Hollowmere

Hollowmere is a moody adventure game you explore by tapping your way through hand-drawn scenes. You arrive in a half-abandoned village and slowly piece together what happened there through notes, objects, and gentle puzzles. It's atmospheric without ever being tedious.

The puzzles are grounded in the world — combining items, spotting details, listening to what characters don't say. Nothing here is obtuse for the sake of it. I finished it over two evenings and immediately wanted to go back and catch what I'd missed.
